Playoffs

Playoffs are HERE! I will give 2 FULL days for each round starting tomorrow (December 20th)

December 24th and 25th will be "extra" days and we will resume the 2 day per round rule on the 26th

Once your done your round please send me a message on Xbox or here, if everyone is done their rounds before the days than we can move past the playoffs quicker

Are there any rules regarding playing the CPU during Playoffs, if you are unable to play matches with your opponent?

If there is ABSOLOUTELY no way you guys can play eachother within the 2 days (important you msg ur opponent to see when u guys can get ur games in) than I will ask if u guys cando it on a 3rd day that ill gve extra if than you guys can't than I will decide than what to do

My opponent and I have a 6 hour difference. This is going to be difficult.

why is that ? I have never had any problems playin games at any time fella, only Flyers as they never return msgs for 3 days then wat till the last hour before sim and its 4am in Britan at that time, so they always play my cpu or sim. kinda unfair as i always play my games ..at any time lol so there wont be any trouble playin these games fella

This is bullshit. I've done what I can to contact on the forum and on Xbox and I get no reply. I will not have time tomorrow night to get these all in. I have only been able to meet up with him once all year and made many attempts. He still does not have his CPU on.


I don't not wanna take a sim loss to this guy.

My opponent, , has not been on the forums in about 2 weeks. Also, was last seen online on the 16th. So I remain doubtful we can play the series in any timely manner.

Just an idea which may help keep GMs returning to the forum... send out a mass e-mail to all GMs after each sim, with a link to these forums. People have lives (well some people lol) and might forget to bookmark the forum or what have you. Maybe they just need to be prompted in order to remember they're supposed to be a GM... a lot of people smoke weed after all. It seems a lot of GMs sign up with high expectations and then completely disappear or just don't respond. Activity is key in any league.

Anyways, this is something that works well in a sim league that I am a part of, thought it may work here as well.

I can understand where you're coming from , but it's not the leagues fault that the GM has disappeared. The commish is actively weeding out the inactive GMs (though some should have been kicked by now). This is a problem for every GM Connected League, not just this one. And eventually, it will be full of only active GMs. At least, thats what attracted me to this league.

You're one of the more active GMs here and I hope that you'll stick it out.

I hope that winning or losing this series isn't the bearing that your decision lies on, because that... in my opinion... is childish.

That being said I hope you do win the sim because the active GM should be rewarded, and I hope we see some inactive people getting the boot real soon.

Whens the next sim, ive noticed thier isnt alot of actvity on the playoff front

Just seems to be and done, with a few games done.
Other than that, I don't think anyone else has played a single playoff game.

I appreciate what you are aiming to accomplish with this league. Its a lot of work. I think there is at least a base of active gms now.

Anyways, maybe it would be beneficial to have a chat/meeting between yourself and the more active gm's. Probably best within a chat room or party. We could all share and discuss ideas on how to proceed and address the activity/inactivity levels. Perhaps you or could use some assistance also.

I believe there is still a good thing going here. A lot of things to manage though.

Id be game to join any sort of commitee for this league, first i joined and i intend to stick around. I havent seen around in a while tho.

We need to get this league active for season #2. I barely played any games in the end of the season. People would play my CPU or i couldnt get a hold of them. I wasnt competing for a playoff spot so i didnt complain, but we need to weed out the league a little and make the forums active again.

I'm willing to help out with anything as well. I think the first thing we need to do is a role call, to see who's actually here and who needs to be replaced. There are some solid GMs here and in another season there would be that many more good GMs.

If we're a little more strict about rules like making your CPU active and posting a Matchups and Trades section on the forums (if someone can't do that within 1 week of joining, they don't actually want to be here - and/or we don't want them lol.)

This league has a ton of potential and I'd love to see it live up to it.

Yep i think the time has come to turf those playoff team GM's that arent playing so we can carry on gents, sucks to have to do it but we cant wait forever
